And for me, Unlocking with Nicole isn’t just a name—it’s a reflection of how I see real estate, lifestyle, and the people I work with every day.
Because what I’ve come to realize is this:

Where It All Started
I didn’t grow up thinking I would end up in real estate.
Growing up, I spent a lot of time working as a nanny for families in the The Hamptons—an experience that shaped more than I realized at the time. I was exposed to beautiful homes and a level of detail and care that went far beyond the surface.
I also had the opportunity to travel with families, both domestically and internationally, which gave me a broader perspective on how people live, what they value, and what “home” can look like in different places.
At the time, I thought I would go into PR. I was always drawn to branding, storytelling, and creating experiences. That naturally led me into hospitality and sales, where I worked with a boutique hotel brand, focusing on weddings and later transitioning into corporate event planning. I was helping people plan some of the most meaningful and high-touch moments in their lives—events that required intention, coordination, and a deep understanding of what the client truly wanted.
In 2020, I started my career as a Licensed Rhode Island Real Estate Agent.
Looking back, it all connects.
Because even then, it was never just about the event, the booking, or the logistics—it was about people, experience, and understanding how someone wanted something to feel.
That perspective is something I’ve carried with me into everything I do today.
From Long Island to Rhode Island
I moved from Long Island to Rhode Island for college, never expecting it to become home.
But somewhere along the way, something shifted.
The coastal lifestyle, the sense of community, and the way life feels a little slower—but still elevated—completely drew me in.
And along the way, I fell in love—with the place, and with a local Rhode Islander who is now my husband.
And eventually, so did I stay.
Now, living and working on Aquidneck Island, I’ve built both my life and my business around a place I genuinely love
Building a Life—and a Business—Together
Entrepreneurship is a big part of our life.
My husband runs his own company, First Choice Turf, where he focuses on fertilization programs, mosquito and tick control, and overall outdoor care. Over time, he’s also become a trusted go-to for connecting people with reliable local vendors for just about any home project.
What I love most is that, in different ways, we’re both helping people take care of and elevate their homes.
Whether it’s inside or outside, it all comes back to the same thing—creating a space that feels good to live in.
